RAGM TECHNOLOGY INFRASTRUCTURE IS GETTING AN UPGRADE

By Nick Frankle,
RAGM President Elect

In order to better serve the needs of communicating with and supporting our members and future members, the Executive Committee has established a Technology Infrastructure committee to ensure that RAGM has a world-class communication foundation.

The RAGM Executive Committee recognized the need for a technology platform that will enhance our ability to communicate with members, provide answers to questions, facilitate free exchange of information and ensure that they have the support needed to create successful and sustainable microfinance projects. In response to this need, a Technology Infrastructure Upgrade committee to oversee improvements to the RAGM web-based capabilities was created . The goal is to create a long-term relationship with a partner who can provide a world-class, integrated infrastructure to enable RAGM leadership and members to interface with each other in an effective, attractive and meaningful way.

The technology experts who make up the committee developed a set of requirements with 11 major
categories: Membership Management; Members Only Area; Email and Newsletter Processing; Content and Page Management; Event Management; Directory Management; Social Media Interface; Mobile App; Data Analytics; Support Services; and Computing Environment.

A Request for Proposal was released to pre-qualified vendors on March 25 with a thirty-day response. Future newsletters will keep you updated on our progress and on the opportunity to help sponsor our new technology infrastructure.
