Sam Veerasingham
President Nominee,

Sam Veerasingham (2020/21)

is leading a Task Force to create a Microfinance Guidebook. The goal of the Task Force is to assist Rotarians and their Clubs identify, establish, manage and monitor Microfinance projects in their local community and in communities around the world. The four topics covered in the Guidebook are: 1) Needs Assessment; 2) Education and Mentoring; 3) How and Where to find Funding; and 4) Monitoring / Reporting on Microfinance projects.

The Guidebook will contain information that will enable Rotarians to initiate, plan, execute and maintain a successful and sustainable Microfinance project.  The finished Guidebook will be made available to members from the RAGM website for ease of access. Watch for further news from the Guidebook Task Force about an interactive site with subject matter updates plus a forum to access the knowledge and expertise of Rotarians engaged in microfinance projects.

During the Rotary International Convention in Hamburg this year, the Guidebook will be the focus of a 90-minute workshop which is entitled "How to Initiate and Manage Microfinance Projects". Please join President Nominee Sam and members of his Task Force at the Convention workshop being held from 3:30 to 5:00 PM on Monday June 4th.
