Education Financing

EduFinance is our unique approach

to tackling the global education crisis, using microfinance to connect private sector finance with education in developing countries. As a non-profit organisation we facilitate funding and provide technical assistance to microfinance institutions (MFIs), enabling them to deliver sustainable, scalable and effective microfinance products for affordable schools and the families who use them in the developing world.

Our approach provides

sustainable, low risk and commercially viable investment models for micro-lenders and capital providers to launch specialized products and services that target the educational needs of communities in highly socially positive ways. Focused on creating market-responsive solutions that are localized to context, EduFinance utilizes substantial amounts of data and sector knowledge to target, launch, and redesign products that consistently provide high value for both education clients and the financial institutions that serve them. Our technical assistance services (ETAF) ensure that financial institutions have every possible tool from our global set of best practices to ensure the success of localized EduFinance solutions.
Creating a route out of poverty through access to education

Education is one of the most effective routes to exit poverty. If we want to reduce poverty and inequality around the world, we must increase access to quality education. Education also contributes to better health, to gender equality, and to peace and stability.
